Cookies

No cookies. Not a session cookie, not an analytics cookie, not a first-party advertising cookie. The site never writes to document.cookie, and it has no server-side session to keep.

What it does keep is localStorage: a handful of named values that stay on your device and are never sent anywhere. They are listed below, by name.

Page-view counting works without either. When you open a page that carries ads, the site records that page's path — /state/lagos — and nothing else. No id, no cookie, nothing that could join two page views together. That is why the counter is outside the consent question entirely.

Personalised ads need your explicit yes. Until you give it, ads are non-personalised — and if you never answer, they stay that way.

Worth being straight about what “essentials only” means on a site paid for by advertising: the ads still appear. They are just chosen from the page rather than from you. An option that turned them off entirely is not one we can offer.

This choice is stored on this device, in this browser. Clearing your site data forgets it, and the banner will ask again.

Six keys, and this is all of them. Three only ever exist if you have signed in as a vendor; one only if you have started a listing.

None of these are read by anyone but this site, and none are sent to us as part of a page request.

The browsing pages carry Google AdSense. When an ad unit loads, Google sets its own cookies and reads its own identifiers, under its own terms — we do not receive them, cannot read them, and cannot delete them for you.

What that changes, depending on your choice above:

• —Essentials only — Google is told not to personalise. It still sets cookies for frequency capping, measurement and fraud prevention.
• —Accept all — Google may also use its profile of you to select the ad.

Google's own controls sit at myadcenter.google.com, and they apply everywhere you see Google ads, not just here.

The pages that carry no ads carry no Google script either. That includes this one, and the privacy notice, the terms, about, contact, the submission wizard and every signed-in page.

Everything above lives in your browser, so your browser can remove it. In Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge alike, it is under site settings for vendorng.com — “delete data” or “clear cookies and site data”.

Doing that signs you out of any vendor dashboard, discards a part-finished listing draft, forgets your light or dark preference, and clears your advertising choice so the banner asks again. It does not remove a published listing — for that, sign in and delete it, or ask us at support@taksell.com.
